Fashion and Food: Staycations Spots in Costal Virginia on a Budget

Hey Y’all! Happy Fashion Friday!! Sometimes you have to vacation in your backyard! I am blessed to live in Coastal Virginia! We are surrounded by water! If you didn’t know I absolutely love the water! Over the weekend I was able to stay at Ocean Keys Resort down at the Oceanfront. We walked the strip and enjoyed free live performances. We ate dinner on the strip at Cactus Jack, sipped on after dinner cocktails while playing outdoor games at Ocean 27. Then headed for more cocktails and dancing at the local spot The Shack! Well when you are on vacation you need late night ice cream at 1:00am at Gino`s Pizzeria.

Now it’s morning and we got to wake up to the beautiful board walk and beach. The beach is always free! You can’t beat free. After breakfast and the beach, we headed to a local distillery “ Chesapeake Bay Distillery”! This was incredible. We chose to do a tasting flight and I was blown away. There was a menu of about 20 cocktails to choose from. ( Military gets a discount) Next up was Beach Bully for lunch. If you’re a vegetarian this is not your spot. Pork, Beef and Bacon oh my! Lastly, we finished off at Prosperity Kitchen & Pantry. This place deserves its own blog post. Stay tune for that. I’m definitely going back. Y’all my mouth is watering just thinking about all the pastries, pizzas, and sweet treats. All in all guys I would say try a stay-cation in your back yard. P.S. You can also come to Coastal Virginia and try any of the spots and you won’t be disappointed. Tell them TJJ sent you.

Style Tip: Wearing cool breathable fabrics is must. Also I like to pack to 2 piece sets because in a crunch you can break up the pieces to stretch your looks.
